As Valentine’s Day looms let’s use the holiday of love to examine the more exotic forms of lovemaking. I’m talking about double penetration, or DP, in all its myriad configurations of partners and genitalia. At first glance, DP seems simple: two men fuck one woman in her vagina and anus simultaneously. Perhaps she received a double blessing from Cupid, who decided to strike two fellows with the same arrow.
But is DP actually something people regularly practice, or is it yet another invention of the porn industry? We’ll explore this question, and the prevalence of DP scenarios in 3DX, in this February edition of What’s Your Fetish.
Let’s establish our terminology first, however. When I use the term DP, I’m specifically referring to simultaneous vaginal and anal penetration of an individual. This could be a girl or a dickgirl (obviously this would be more often see with 3DX than in real life). I’m not counting, for example, things like one person being fucked in one hole while also performing oral sex. Naturally, there’s already a specific term for that: the “spit roast.”
As for double penetration of one orifice by two penises, I would include this as a variant of DP. The same goes for a DP scenario in which the girl also performs oral. This takes a third partner and is called making the girl airtight. Of course, she can always breathe through her nose.
Why do DP participants enjoy it?
Women are the most common recipients of DP sex, thus I’m focusing on them when addressing whether the act’s enjoyable. The data is sparse, but women seem more fascinated with the DP scenario than men. A recent demographic analysis of traffic by Pornhub found that women were 83% more likely to search for “double penetration” scenes than men.
This isn’t necessarily an indication that women are fantasizing about sex with two men at the same time. Journalist Molly Boswell wrote for The Debrief that she enjoyed DP by using a dildo to accompany her boyfriend’s penis. She writes that DP is pleasurable because she also enjoys anal sex.
Boswell describes the DP experience was as “AMAZING – it felt really deep and the orgasm was nothing short of earth shattering. Now it feels like having really naughty sex – something that gets saved for special occasions, with a guaranteed mind-blowing orgasm at the end.”

What about the appeal for the men? On the one hand, if the other penis is actually a dildo, DP isn’t especially intrusive for the man. But if he’s sharing his partner with another real live penis, there’s a certain homosexual element that arises. The penises can be perceptible while both men are fucking the woman. They may also “cross swords” accidentally while switching positions. Might this be a deal breaker for some men? Of course, some men turn hard at the idea of another man fucking the same woman; they enjoy cuckolding themselves. Cucking itself is a distinct pornographic genre, of course. Those who enjoy it are actually getting off on passively watching another person fuck their partner (vicariously if it’s porn).
When What’s Your Fetish explored anal sex, I discussed the scientific evidence that women can orgasm from anal penetration. Women have Skene’s glands, which are the female counterpart to the male prostate. Simultaneous vaginal and anal penetration can result in orgasm from multiple routes. Both the vagina and Skene’s glands actually contact with the clitoris, forming a “U” shape internally inside a woman’s body. Combined stimulation of both the clitoris and Skene’s glands could result in a more intense orgasm, as Boswell points out.
DP scenarios in 3DX
The more extreme the sex act, the greater the advantage that 3DX has over live action porn. This is certainly the case with DP scenarios. Consider how difficult it is for two men to penetrate a woman’s vagina or anus at the same time. Apart from the physical constraints, there are issues of hygiene as well, with two penises alternating between the two holes.
Total freedom from these limitations allows 3DX artists to depict DP in every configuration imaginable. Whether its dickgirls, elves, elven dickgirls, or other creatures, 3DX can make each character a willing DP participant. Also, 3DX allows the depiction of extreme “gaping” in which two deliberately massive objects fuck an orifice. These can be penises, tentacles, or non-human phalluses (demons, orcs, etc.).
The DP genre gets another boost from the futanari dickgirls, which are already a 3DX staple. Just like people whose blood is O-negative (they are universal donors) futanari dickgirls have all the vital parts to be applicable in every DP scenario.
I’ve gone through some of the fantastic DP scenes 3DX artists have conjured up and below are some highlights.

Secretary gets a special bonus. In the aptly titled Secretary: Promotion by Kadwyn, a sexy secretary seeks out a promotion. She gets one along with a massive bonus in the form of two big cocks. A classic DP scenario without any extra frills or fantasy elements.
Massive gaping. Artist Smerinka is known for producing extreme gaping in her work, and No Limits: Round Two is a prime example. A pale redhead receives a DP experience from two very hung Nubian dickgirls; and the high-resolution renders capture her every quiver. As a bonus, there’s a male involved who makes the redhead airtight!
Conclusion
I never personally experienced a DP or any of its many variants before. However, I do enjoy watching DP scenes on occasion. I prefer threesomes since they offer more possibilities for sexual positions and chemistry. But for me, there’s something satisfying about seeing a woman willingly and roughly used – consensually, of course. Surprisingly, there seems to be a small, but passionate female interest in DP, as the Pornhub data shows. Porn may have exaggerated the prevalence of DP and simplified its physical demands. Still, it is a real sexual practice with plenty of fans.
